cemetery-tourA tour of five small Marshall County cemeteries is planned for Tuesday, May 19.   There will be a short history presented at each cemetery visited.   This event is planned by the Marshall County Genealogical Society with an open invitation to the public.  Society members will serve finger food at each stop. Reservations are not required, but if you are planning to attend, they’d like to know how much food to prepare.  Call 936-2306 and ask for Karin

 

The event will last from about 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. starting with the Borkholder Cemetery at the intersection of Beech Road and the Plymouth-Goshen Trail, there will be a special appearance of Amish settler Samuel Hochstetler.  The next stop is the Huff Cemetery, followed by the Ewald Cemetery also known as Little Egypt and listed as a haunted location, then the Nyhart Cemetery, and finally Jacoby Cemetery on King Road.

Please note, this is not a strictly timed schedule and it may run ahead or behind time.  Tentative times are: Borkholder at 5:00, Huff at5:45, Ewald at 6:30, Nyhart at 7:15, and Jacoby at 8:00.

 

Any and all are invited to attend. A car pool will leave from the Plymouth Library west parking lot at 4:20 p.m.
