Sarah Gibbs34 Sarah Gibbs was murdered on December 19, 2014 in her home in Warsaw. A fire had been set to cover the crime but Crime Stoppers say an autopsy determined she had been murdered prior to the fire.

Sarah was a Cardinal Center client due to her diagnosis of being autistic and lived independently in a duplex across from the fairgrounds for 14 years.

The crime has not yet been solved and Sarah’s family, Howard and Betty Gibbs from Plymouth are planning a Justice For Sarah Gibbs Rally on Saturday, September 26th at 1 p.m. at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

Initially the rally was to keep the communities awareness that the crime had not been solved but as the family has been putting things together they have come to realize the impact their daughter had on the community where she lived and so the rally has become a celebration of Sarah’s life.

Activities at the rally include her father, Howard speaking about Sarah, and some of the women who were in the YMCA zumba class with Sarah will put on a demonstration using Sarah’s favorite music.

The rally isn’t expected to last more than an hour.

Sarah enjoyed helping at the Soul Takers Acres haunted house each year at the fairground and this year they have dedicated the event in her name.

A Facebook page with details on the rally can be found at “Justice For Sarah Gibbs” and the South Bend Crime Stopper website has her case for anyone who has leads that might help solve the case.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to information on the person who killed Sarah.

To get involved in the rally you can contact Howard or Betty Gibbs in Plymouth at 936-3356.
