The Lincoln Junior High 8th Grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Triton on Monday night to take on the Trojans.  The A team started the game really well jumping out to a 23-16 lead at halftime with 16 of those points coming from Dane Funston.  Funston would finish with 18 points with Kam Vanlue chipping in 8 points and Adam Hunter scored 6 points as the Red Storm defeated the Trojans 35-27.

The B team game was very similar as Lincoln had a 20-13 advantage at halftime and were able to hold off a strong run by the Trojans in the second half to win 32-23.

Dylan Gamble scored 13 points and Hugh Smith added 9 points.  The Red Storm will travel to Laporte Boston on Thursday before a long Winter Break.

The 7th grade Lincoln Red Storm A Team shook off a sluggish 1st quarter and finished with a dominant 40-25 victory over the Triton Trojans.  Facing their first deficit of the season at the 1st quarter mark and in front of a hushed home crowd, Daniel Bacon led the Red Storm charge and finished with a team-high 18 points, hitting 8 of 9 from the free thrown line to go along with his strong post play.  Also contributing to the cause were Jake Reichard with 11 points and Collin Mills with 5 points.  Lincoln is now 12-2 on the year.

The 7th grade Lincoln Red Storm B Team jumped out to a quick 11-0 lead and held the Triton Trojans scoreless through the first quarter before settling down and winning 31-22.  The Red Storm’s balanced attack was led by Hayden Hopple with 7 points, Grady Mahoney with 6 points, and Grayson Meadors with 5 points.  The B Team’s season record is now 3-1.
