The Lincoln Junior High boys basketball team traveled to Urey Middle School for a tough test on Tuesday night. The Red Storm had a 13 point lead heading into the final frame, but the Falcons came storming back to cut the lead to 3 with 1 minute to play. Lincoln was able to hold on thanks to the cool hand of Thomas Dolan who shot 6-6 from the free line down the stretch. Dolan and Joe Styers finished with 8 points each. Kendall Himes was the high point man with 15 as Lincoln defeated Urey 39-34.

Hugh Smith and Brady Hatfield dominated for Lincoln in the B game as Smith scored 12 and Hatfield scored 10 as the Red Storm won 37-25.

 

The 7th grade Lincoln Red Storm A team beat a tough Urey Falcons squad in front of a raucous crowd on Tuesday night in Plymouth.  The final tally was 37-27 but the Red Storm were forced to grind it out as both teams had their star players in foul trouble all night.  Great defense from the Red Storm held the Falcons to just 2 points in both the 2nd and 4th quarters.  Lincoln was led by Jake Reichard with 14 points.  Ivan Winkle scored 6 points and Collin Mills added 5 points for the Red Storm.  Their record now stands at 5-1.

The 7th grade Lincoln B team defeated the Urey Falcons 27-18 at home on Tuesday night.  A strong second half offensively helped the Red Storm pull away and snatch a victory away from the Falcons.  The Red Storm were led by Matthew Janus with 10 points.  Matthew Dobuck chipped in 6 points and Jaret Brown added 5 for the home team.  The Red Storm are now 2-1 on the season.
