Over the weekend the Lincoln Redstorm 8th grade volleyball team brought home another trophy for the case! The ladies took first place in the Crestview Tourney on Saturday. They first defeated Riverview in two games with scores of 25-9 and 25-14. Next they faced host team Crestiview in the championship with scores of 25-4 and 25-14. Strong serving, great communication, and tough defense from the whole team helped the ladies. The 8th grade has three tough away matches this week at Lakeview, Wawasee, and LaPorte Boston; then they finish out their season with a home game against Edgewood next Monday!
The 7th grade competed in the tourney at Crestview this past Saturday and walked away winning a match and losing the match. Lincoln played against Riverview in the first match and won the first game 25:16 followed by a close loss of 23-25 in the second game & closed out the match with a third close loss of 14:15. The girls played hard but couldn’t quite close the match. The ladies started their second match strong taking the first game 25-9, went into the second game putting up a strong fight but couldn’t quite take the win with a score of 24-25. The girls closed out their second match with a win in game three 15-9. The Redstorm team has more games of their season. Come cheer on your 7th graders this Wednesdayas we face LaPorte Boston.
