City NEwsThe Robert Henry Corporation from South Bend was awarded the bid to complete the brick pavers project in downtown Plymouth during Tuesday night’s Redevelopment Commission.

Only two companies offered bids for the project and the Robert Henry Corp. was low bidder at $268,300 for all five segments.  The commission decided to move forward with 3 of the five segments, segment that include the two block on the east side of Michigan Street along with some on Garro and Adams Street, segment B which is the north and south side of LaPorte Street west of Michigan Street and to have all the sidewalks cleaned and sprayed with a water repellant.  The final cost should be $239,900.    The Redevelopment Commission decided to wait on 10 news trash and 5 recycling fixtures and the re-lamping of the street lights.

Plymouth Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver told members that TIF #2 has estimated annual revenues of $358,000 and an annual bond payment for River Park Square of $130,000.

The commission also ratified the contract with Brent Martin for the brick paver project.  The scope of the project design grew from $2,500 to $3,375.
