Marshall County Republican Party Chairman, David Holmes has scheduled the caucus to fill the seat of County Council in District 1 due to the resignation of Matt Hassel. Hassel resigned last week to accept the position of Marshall County Sheriff after being elected by caucus.
Under the rules of the Indiana Republican Party, a caucus will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th at Republican Headquarters.
Any interested candidates in District 1 may file their declaration of candidacy with the Marshall County Clerk or in person with Chairman David Holmes no later than noon, on Friday, October 16th.
