Monday afternoon Mayor Mark Senter was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony at MC Sports.
Although the new sporting goods store had its soft opening on Sunday, November 8th and Grand Opening on the 12th, the official ribbon cutting was this week.
MC Sports store manager, Joe Walker uses the gold scissors to cut the red ribbon as assistant manager Deb Redman, Mayor Senter, store employees and Executive Director of the Chamber, Connie Holtwartz hold the ribbon.
Walker said, “The response so far has been overwhelming from the community.” He noted that the soft opening “superseded more than what the company had originally hoped for.”
MC Sports will be open on Thanksgiving from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. and they open at 6 on Black Friday!
