In May, 2015 the Plymouth Municipal Airport broke ground on a $2.5 million runway improvement project. This project widened the runway to 75 feet, reconstructed and rehabilitated the existing runway surface, reconstructed the taxi-ways and improved the runway lighting system.
This project was made possible by a $2.2 million grant from the FAA and matching funds from Indiana Dept of Transportation Office of Aviation and the City of Plymouth.
The project is finished and there will be a ribbon-cutting held prior to the Board of Aviation meeting on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 pm.
