Through the “What’s the Matter” Project, Riverside Innovation Academy 6th grade students researched the forms and or properties of matter by looking at the formation and creation of potholes on our communities roads.
Partnering with the Plymouth Parks Department, students then took their knowledge and created their own personal resumes and each interviewed for an open foreman position. When it was all said and done, 20 foreman positions were filled by Riverside learners and their PBL team of 100 students helped fill in potholes in and around Centennial Park in Plymouth.
