NewsOn Tuesday evening officers from the Rochester Police Department and Fulton County Sheriff’s Department attempted to locate a vehicle that fled a traffic stop in Marshall County. During that traffic stop, it was reported that the driver pepper sprayed the Culver Officer that initiated the traffic stop. It was also reported that the driver possibly had a Meth Lab in the vehicle.

An officer with the Rochester Police Department located and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The driver refused to pull over and a lengthy vehicle pursuit ensued. This pursuit went north out of Rochester for approximately eight miles then returned to the city.

The pursuit came to a conclusion when the driver got the vehicle stuck in front of Shaffer Medical Center on East 9th Street.

Assisting departments include the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, Culver Police Department, Argos Police Department, and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Some of the crimes the driver was charged with include Manufacturing and Possession Methamphetamine, Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Recklessness with a Vehicle, and Reckless Driving.

Criminal charges are merely accusations and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
