PizzaWars logoThe Marshall County Visitors Bureau is proud to announce the second round of the Northern Indiana Pizza Wars is underway!

Round one pitted eight Pizza Restaurants in the county in a head to head voting contest to decide who has the best Pizza in our county. Voting kicked off Friday, May15th and lasted for 10 days.

Round two started yesterday and continues through this Sunday.  The four pizzas making it to the next round are: Granny’s, The Wooden Peel, Culver Wings and Piazza’s.

Citizens can vote on the Marshall County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s website (http://www.visitmarshallcounty.org/things-to-do/pizzawars).  They can log in and vote each day to make sure their favorite restaurant gets the credit it deserves. Voters can keep checking the website and Marshall County’s social media pages and use the hashtag #PizzaWarsNI for a chance to win prizes through mini contests held throughout the voting process. Most importantly, voters are encouraged to sign in and vote each round for a chance to win the grand prize of $50 gift certificate to the winning restaurant announced at the end of the competition.

The final voting round will take place June 4-7.  The winner of the best pizza in Marshall County will be announced June 7, and then go head to head against the winning restaurants from the other six counties that make up Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission (NITDC) and its member convention and visitors bureaus in Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Marshall, Koscuisko, Elkhart and LaGrange counties.

The Northern Indiana Pizza Wars is a follow up from last year’s Burger Wars contest. After 60,000 votes cast, The View Tavern of South Bend was crowned the Burger Wars Champion for all of Northern Indiana.
