Severe WeatherMarshall County Emergency Management Director Clyde Avery is warning citizens of the potential for two rounds of strong to severe storms this afternoon into tonight.
Round one may impact the Marshall County area as early as 1 p.m.  There is a threat of large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated chance of tornadoes.
The second round of storms may occur after 7 p.m.  The main threat will be damaging, significant winds and an isolated chance of tornadoes is possible.
Avery said, “Take this opportunity to test your emergency alert radio to make sure it is receiving properly. Check your batteries in your flashlights and lanterns. Be sure your cell phone is charged, and don’t forget to check your emergency supply kit.”
