PLYMOUTH, IN – Knox High School graduate, Miranda Shepherd, recently signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent and will join the Ancilla College Lady Charger basketball team for the 2015-2016 season.

Shepherd, a four year point guard for the Redskins, earned four varsity letters in basketball and nine total varsity letters during her high school career. She also received the Most Valuable Player All-Tournament award, two All-Conference Honorable Mentions, the Mental Toughness Award, Most Improved, and the Outstanding Freshman award. Her team also earned a Sectional Championship.

She was named to the Knox High School Honor Roll, was a part of the National Honor Society and served as National Honor Society and Student Council President.

Shepherd said she chose Ancilla because, “The location of the school, the small campus size and the Ancilla basketball coach, really made me want to become a Charger.”

“Miranda is a natural leader with tremendous court vision and toughness,” said Ancilla coach Tom Robbins. “Her ability to get the ball to people where they like to score is going to enable our returning players to be more dangerous.”

Miranda is the daughter of Richard and Lisa Shepherd from Knox, IN.
