sheriff_starTom Chamberlin, Marshall County Sheriff released the January activity report including the top ten offenses for bookings into the jail.  Starting at the bottom and working up the list you find #10. Dealing in cocaine or meth, #9. Public Intoxication, #8. Probation Violations, #7. Driving While Suspended and #6. Battery.  The top five reasons citizens were lodged in the jail were #5. Operator Never Licensed, #4. Marijuana, #3. Theft, #2. Failure to Appear and the number one reason, Operating While Intoxicated.

There were 141 jail bookings in January.  Marshall County Police arrested 45 males and 16 females while Plymouth Police arrested 28 males and 8 females.  Other departments making arrests in January included Argos with 3, Bourbon with 1, Bremen with 16, Culver had 5 and ISP Troopers arrested 6.

Marshall County Police investigated 124 accidents last month, 106 were property damage and 18 involved personal injury.  A total of 67 case reports were taken and 58 citations were issued in January.
