Crash_Muckshaw&14C_101/07/15  On Saturday, January 3rd at 6:32 P.M. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Bryant responded to a two vehicle accident on Muckshaw Road in the area of 14 C.

When officers arrived at the scene the driver of the Ford SUV, 38 year old Amy M. Garland of Rochester said she was southbound on Muckshaw near 14C Road when she crested the hill and observed a vehicle in the middle of the roadway. Garland attempted to swerve to avoid hitting a female standing outside the car when her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole snapping it in half.  The impact caused minor injuries to herself and her two daughters.

Crash_Muckshaw&14C_2The driver of the Camero, 38 year old Shana M. Lovelace of Argos initially fled the scene and did not contact the police department until the next day. Lovelace said her vehicle broke down due to engine failure on Muckshaw Road just north of 14C. She also advised that she and some friends were trying to push it out of the middle of the roadway when the SUV had to swerve to avoid hitting her car and left the roadway striking the utility pole.

Amy Garland and her two daughters were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for treatment.
