Starke County Sheriff William A. Dulin released the April activity report for his department.
The Starke County Patrol Division covered 786 incidents and served 135 Civil Papers. Officers responded to 47 traffic accidents along with 20 commercial and home alarms.
The Starke County Emergency 911 Dispatch Center received 226 911 calls, dispatched 177 calls for EMS and 101 fire calls.
The Jail Division reported booking in 58 subjects into the jail. During the month of April 1,474 miles were traveled in transporting inmates and 43 man-hours logged transporting inmates along with 22.5 hours escorting inmates to court. The Starke County Sheriff Inmate Road Crew logged 20 hours of inmate work, covered 176 miles and collected 74 bags of trash with a start date of April 21st.
Starke County K- 9 responded to 18 services calls with one for tracking a suspect and assisted Knox Police once and the Indiana State Police once. K-9 Terro assisted in the arrests of 8 suspects along with 5 felony charges and 8 misdemeanor charges.
