police_investigationMarshall County Police are investigating a stray bullet that went into a house on the Plymouth’s south side.

On Monday, November 30, about 7:00 p.m. Marshall County Police were dispatched to a residence on Timber Lane, just off 11th Road when the home owner reporting that a bullet had struck the house, went through the outer most wall and came to rest inside the home on the living room floor.

After an investigation was completed it is believed that the round was not intentionally fired at the home, but that the round was from a stray bullet from an unknown location to the east of the residence, likely due to careless handling of a firearm.

No injuries were reported in this incident but the Marshall County Police would like to remind all citizens of Marshall County to always practice safe and responsible gun ownership. When shooting please make sure it is into a proper back stop, and to never fire up into the air as those bullets can still be lethal when they return back to the ground.
