On Friday, December 26, the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department obtained a call reference two men that had allegedly entered the Lowe`s Home Improvement Store on Pilgrim Lane and stole several items, including power tools. The suspects left in a white Ford SUV.
Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department located the vehicle and subjects in the area of US 31 and the 6th Road overpass. One of the subjects in the vehicle fled on foot and was not found.
Officers arrested Dedrick M. Cookbey, age 25 along with
26 year old Lineson F. Powell, Jr. both of South Bend for theft. A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor`s Office for review. The alleged stolen items and power tools was recovered within the vehicle.
