CUTPL_ClubFair_1On Saturday, January 17, the Culver-Union Township Public Library held their third annual Club Fair.

Local clubs, organizations, or groups were invited to come to the library free of charge to set up an informational table and promote their cause.  Jennifer Luttrell, Culver Tri Kappa President, told Reference/Adult Services Manager and Club Fair organizer, Dana Thomas, “I am grateful to the Culver Library for bringing together so many worthwhile organizations into one welcoming area. Patrons could easily gather information from so many sources.  Tri Kappa felt lucky to be part of such a meaningful event.”

CUTPL_ClubFair_2Culver Tri Kappa was one of 21 groups in attendance, along with Blessings in a Backpack, Culver Boys and Girls Club, Culver EMS, Culver Youth Baseball, Culver Youth Soccer, CUTPL Book Clubs, CUTPL Centennial Programs, CUTPL Friends of the Library, CUTPL Thursday Tech Time and Computer Classes, Exercise for Seniors, Free Tax Return Filing at CUTPL, Heartland Artists, Knitting, Lions Club, Marshall County 4-H, Marshall County Council on Aging, Marshall – Starke Head Start, MoonTree Studios, Plymouth Adult Education at CUTPL, and the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 6919.

The CUTPL Friends of the Library provided cookies and warm drinks as refreshments for those who braved the cold to attend the Club Fair. Additionally, the Friends of the Library held a special winter used Book Sale for those in attendance. MoonTree Studios had artist demonstrations going on throughout the day, including knitting and spinning wool. Andrew Baker, IT Manager, had a computer internal hardware educational demonstration throughout the day.
