Preschool students in the Triton School district enjoyed their morning visit to the kindergarten classrooms at Triton Elementary School earlier this month. They sure look eager for kindergarten this fall!
During the 2nd “Family” Group meeting on Thursday, March 19, at Triton Elementary School, the students participated in a “Marshmallow Challenge.” The object was to build the tallest, free standing, marshmallow tower in 15 minutes. Mrs. McFarland’s group came in first place with a 14 1/2 inch marshmallow tower.
Shown is Mrs. McFarland’s family group with their prizes, a Marshmallow Man Trophy (Made by Mrs. Westphal’s High School Art Students) and a “S’More Bag” for each family member.
Family Time is a series of special mixed-grade group meetings that seek to develop teamwork and leadership skills in students in a mixed group Kindergarten through grade 6.
