All of the sixth grade students at Triton Elementary School put the final touches on their sun models. Students learned that the sun is in the Milky Way Galaxy, that it is considered a medium sized star and it has several layers. The students had to identify and label the core, convective zone, radiative zone, chromosphere, corona, sunspots, prominence, photosphere and solar flare.
