DrugArrestA traffic stop Tuesday afternoon at Oak Drive and Jefferson Street resulted in the arrest of two Plymouth individuals.

Plymouth Police Officer John Weir initiated a traffic stop just after 2 Tuesday afternoon on a vehicle where the driver was known to him as not having a valid driver’s license.  Officer Weir walked his K9 partner Jax around the vehicle and he alerted to the presence of some type of narcotics.

A search of the vehicle resulted in locating of methamphetamines, marijuana and hypodermic needles.

Both occupants, 29 year old Derrick J. Brewer and 28 year old Lindsey N. Dennis both of Plymouth were transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Both were booked in for Possession of Methamephetamine, Unlawful Possession of Syringe and Possession of Marijuana.  They were each held on $1,505 cash bonds.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
