WinterWeatherAdvisoryAdvisory: A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.   Freezing rain will cause hazardous driving conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that will go into effect at 6:00am on Tuesday Morning.

Freezing rain is the biggest threat. Freezing rain will begin around 6 a.m. in the southwest and gradually shift northeast through 11a.m.

The duration of the event is expected to last 1 to 2 hours and accumulation will be approximately 1/10 of an inch.

Impacts from this weather event will be road surfaces, overpasses and intersections which will be icy, making driving dangerous. Slick sidewalks could lead to more slips, trips and falls causing injury.

Marshall County is currently under an “Advisory” level travel advisory which is the lowest of the three tier travel advisory system we use.  It means that routine travel or activities may be hazardous and individuals should use caution.
