CityCouncil_WDA_BloodDrive11-2015First grade students from the Washington Discovery Academy presented to members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety and pubic last night during their meeting.

The students presented information about an upcoming blood drive they are having on November 19th from 12:30 until 6 p.m.  The current project they are working on focuses on the American Red Cross and holding a blood drive, the body systems and healthy habits.  Students told Board of Works members that one pint of blood can save three lives.

Their goal is to have 90 scheduled appointments for the blood drive.  If they reach their goal, every student will receive one out of uniform day, an extra recess and a surprise event for Principal Jeff Spencer.

You can scheduled your blood donation for November 19th by contacting the American Red Cross or Washington Discovery Academy.
