winter-weather-advisoryA Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. on Friday.  The Wind Chill Warning has expired.

Marshall County will experience hazardous weather conditions including wind chills which will generally range between 5 below and 20 below through Saturday morning

Snow will develop late Thursday afternoon or early evening and continue into the night with periods of heaviest snow expected this evening.  Snow fall should taper off overnight with an additional accumulation of 1 to 3 inches.

The National Weather Service says strong southwest to west winds will cause significant blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibilities late this afternoon through Friday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow.  Use caution when traveling especially in open areas.
