No Bids Received on Parking Lot Project

December 1, 2016

Plymouth Color Logo2014Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt requested bids from three companies for major repairs to the Police Department Parking lot but during Monday night’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting none were received.

A couple of months ago a few sections of the parking lot dropped into hollowed area under the concrete and asphalt.  It was determined that the old church that stood on the site had the fill wash out creating hollow spaced.

Marquardt said the shorter time frame of the proposal, 45 days was an issued for the companies.

The Board of Works suggested he rebid the project and adjust the time frame for completion of the project.

In other business Marquardt told members the railroad tracks on Liberty Street were fixed by the railroad.  He noted that the city was not required to do any work on the project.
