Three Plymouth High School seniors are representing PHS this week at Hoosier Boys State at Trine University in Angola.
Jared Bubica, a 17 year old senior is sponsored by American Legion Monterey Post 399.
Travis Owen, an 18 year old senior and 17 year old Colten Schuler are both sponsored by American Legion Post 27 in Plymouth.
The Plymouth Community School Corporation thanked both American Legion Posts for raising the funds to provide these three students with the opportunity to attend this educational week-long program.
The students will actively work together to win elections, propose laws, negotiate bills, and enforce the legislation and procedures established from the local up to state level. According to hoosierboysstate.org, by the end of the week, students who attend Hoosier Boys State will know more about Indiana’s state government than 90% of their fellow Hoosiers.
