The 34th annual Marshall County Spelling Bee was held Tuesday, May 3rd at the Culver High School.
The winner was Graham Barger a 7th grader from Lincoln Junior High School. The 2nd place student was Aubrey Vervynckt a 6th grader from St. Michael’s while Quincey Hess an 8th grader from Lincoln Junior High was 3rd place.
The top two students had a great final round and they had to spell 85 words before we had a winner. Aubrey missed the word garrulous and then Graham spelled it correctly and had to spell joule to be declared the winner.
