Marshall County continues to bring in additional funding for road projects with implementation of a license plate for buggies.
On Monday, Laurie Baker Administrative Supervisor at the County Highway Department told the commissioners they’ve received a second payment from Lake City Bank for the purchase of buggy plates.
The March purchases totaled $14,150 for 268 plates. The April payment was $20,250 bringing the total to $34,400 with one more month to collect.
Funds collected are deposited into highway fund and will be re-appropriated for road work.
