On Monday, March 28th officers from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint of drug activity at a residence on Eureka Street in Koontz Lake about 5:15.
Officers spoke to the renter and were given written consent to search the residence. K9 Terror was deployed in the residence and alerted on the presence of narcotics. Officers searched the area and located Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia. They also located several items and precursors used to manufacture Methamphetamines in the residence. Outside the residence in a burn barrel was a burnt one-pot Methamphetamine lab and other manufacturing related items.
Seven individuals were arrested at the scene.
Sally Mills, 37 years old of Merrillville has preliminary charges of Dealing Methamphetamines, Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Paraphernalia. She is being held in the Starke County Jail with no bond.
36 year old Donald Mills III of Merrillville has preliminary charges of Dealing Methamphetamines, Possession of Precursors, Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Paraphernalia. He too is being held in the Starke County Jail with no bond.
Virgil Binion, 50 and Charlotte Binion 49 years old of Monterey, were charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance and each given a $300.00 bond.
25 year old Alexis Houston of Ft. Wayne was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance and held in the Starke County Jail on a $300.00 bond along with
20 year old William Redlin of Walkerton and
39 year old Carter Scutchfield of Mishawaka.
34 year old Robert Gardner of Walkerton was booked into the Starke County Jail for Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Marijuana and held on a $500.00 bond.
