Plymouth Police and Fire responded to North Michigan Street Wednesday afternoon about 4: 30 for an incident involving a vehicle and a bicyclists.

Officer Chad Beatty investigated the incident and reported that 18 year old Dustin Royer of Bremen was north bound on Michigan Street in a 2014 Ford Fusion. He saw a bicyclist coming up to the Centennial Park entrance and slowed down. When the bicyclist failed to stop and began to cross Michigan Street he slammed on his brakes and turned left in an attempt to avoid hitting the bicyclist but was unable to.

Two witnesses told Officer Beatty that the child on the bike did not slow down or attempt to stop before crossing Michigan Street.

The 8 year old boy was treated at the scene by Plymouth EMS for a minor scraped knee and released to his father.
