The Center at Donaldson, along with Arts Midwest and Encore Performing Arts, presents Anda Union at The Center at Donaldson on Monday, October 3, 2016. The evening begins with a music workshop at 6:00 p.m. EDT, followed by an opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments at 7:00 p.m. Experience this unique style of traditional folk music from Mongolia, which features songs that mimic the sounds of nature.
Formed in 2003 in the semi-autonomous Inner Mongolia region of China, Anda Union features folk music played on traditional instruments, like the flute and fiddle, and regional versions of the dulcimer, lute and mouth harp. Join us for an evening of world music that evolved from melodies sung my nomadic herders.
The event takes place at Cana Hall at The Center at Donaldson. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.
