ArgosHIghSchool_Val-Jessica Detwiler2016Jessica L. Detwiler, daughter of Brent and Rebecca Detwiler, has earned the distinction of being named the Valedictorian of Argos High School’s Class of 2016. Jessica has earned a 3.934 on a 4.0 scale.

Jessica has been active in numerous organizations and activities during her four years at Argos Jr.-Sr. High School. She has been chosen to be in Junior National Honor Society and National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Purdue University chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In addition, she is a member of HOSA (Future Health Professionals) through the North Central Area Vocational Cooperative’s Health Occupations Program. She has served in various activities through the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses such as their worldwide effort to share the Bible’s message, community construction projects through the Local Design Committee and other community service projects.

Jessica has received the following awards: Health Careers and Medical Terminology Successful Completion, Superintendent’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Artistic Ability, Outstanding Student and Academic Excellence in English 9, English 12, Personal Finance, Biology, Art, Introduction Agriculture, Animal Science. She has also received an Academic A Letter Award, Academic Excellence Award, Four Year Honor Roll Award and Academic Honors Plan. She recently passed her state examination to become a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.

Jessica has also received the following scholarships: St. Joseph Regional Center Health Careers Scholarship, Valedictorian Ivy Tech Scholarship and Argos Dollars for Scholars Scholarship. Jessica has also completed the 21st Century Scholar Program.

Jessica plans to attend Ivy Tech to become a Registered Nurse. Her ultimate goal is to serve others through her medical training and her church.

Sabrina Elizabeth Bradley, daughter of John and Dawn Bradley, has earned the distinction of being named the Salutatorian of Argos Jr.-Sr. High’s Class of 2016. Sabrina has earned a 3.8026 on a 4.0 scale.

Sabrina has been active in numerous school organizations and activities during her four years at Argos Jr.-Sr. High School. She was a member of Leos Club as well as serving as Class of 2016 Treasurer for three years. She has been involved in band and choir during her Argos years as well as playing key roles in the Spring Musical each year. Outside of school, Sabrina has also participated in 4-H and Junior Leaders

Sabrina has received the following awards: Outstanding Student and Academic Excellence in English 9, English 12 AP, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Biology, World History, Economics, as well as American Legion Citizenship Winner, Academic A Letter Award, Academic Excellence Award, Four Year Honor Roll Award and Academic Honors Plan.

Sabrina has also received the following scholarships: Hanover College Donner Scholarship, Edwin Pearson Scholarship, Argos Lions Scholarship, Ella Leeper Scholarship, Jo Ellen Castleman/Hull Scholarship, Madison and Elizabeth Stephenson Scholarship, Sanders Family Scholarship and Argos Dollars for Scholars Scholarship. Sabrina has also completed the 21st Century Scholar Program.

Sabrina plans to attend Hanover College where she will study Accounting and minor in History. Her ultimate goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant and open her own business.
