Updated: Bremen Police made an arrest in the armed robbery that happened on Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of West Fourth Street.
21 year old Henry Turner of South Bend was arrested Monday and booked into the Marshall County Jail with a charge of Robbery and Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Turner is the suspect that allegedly pulled a firearm on a Bremen citizen during a meeting to sell items through social media to two unknown subjects from the South Bend area.
The victim told police he sat in the subject’s vehicle and one of the subjects presented a firearm and demanded the items.
The victim was not harmed in this crime.
The Bremen Police Department wants to clarify that this was an isolated crime and remind our citizens to be very cautious when arranging to meet unknown persons for transactions through social media. Remember, the Bremen Police Department is open 24 hours a day and would make a safe location to complete such transactions.
