Saturday morning County Police Officer Les McFarland stopped a pick-up truck in the 10900 block of Lincoln Highway for a defective muffler. The muffler was dragging on the roadway causing sparks.
During the traffic stop the officer suspected the driver, 44 year old Brad Alan Morcomb of Plymouth was intoxicated. Morcomb was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for a chemical test and then arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated with a prior offense as a level 6 felony. His bond was set at $1,505 cash.
Sunday afternoon County Officer Jonathan Bryant investigated a single vehicle accident on Fir Road north of 9B Road where a pick-up truck struck a utility pole. 69 year old Paul William Prendergast of Bremen was checked at the Plymouth Hospital and toxicology showed a blood alcohol over the legal limit. He was lodge in the Marshall County Jail.
Sunday morning just after 4 Officer Wozniak was dispatched to State Road 17 and 110 for a suspicious vehicle on the side of the road. The driver, 33 year old Daniel Allen Butler of Culver was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was booked into the County Jail.
