MCEDC_buildingThe Marshall County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) and SCORE Indiana have partnered to invite local, aspiring entrepreneurs to kick off the New Year by attending The Fundamentals of Small Businesses Workshop. The event will be held at the MCEDC offices, located at 2864 Miller Drive in Plymouth on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 from 9am-11am. All Marshall County residents who are interested in starting a business are invited to attend. Registration is only $10.

This workshop will be the first of many to be held through 2016, and they are the first step in the MCEDC’s goal of supporting entrepreneurship in our community. The MCEDC and SCORE Indiana are hosting this event with the intention to energize entrepreneurs, as well as create and identify resources in the area. Marshall County’s history of entrepreneurship and building local businesses from the ground up is one to be proud of; and engaging aspiring business owners with opportunities such as this will help continue that tradition.

The workshop will be led by Bob Kasprzak, District Director of SCORE Indiana. Topics of discussion will include what makes an entrepreneur successful, how to avoid common mistakes, the myths of owning a business, and how to seek out useful resources.

If you or someone you know is interested in attending, please RSVP by phone (574-935-8499) or email (pam@marshallcountyedc.org).
