warrant

A call from a concerned citizen to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of a Tippecanoe man on a warrant through Kosciusko County.

About 8 Tuesday evening a patron in attendance at a little league baseball game in the park at Bourbon informed police that 24 year old Zachariah Schuh was in attendance. The patron knew he had an active felony warrant for dealing through Kosciusko County.

Stg. Rick Kanarr with the Bourbon Police Department located Zachariah Schuh and confirmed he had a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held with no bond on a failure to appear charge.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
