marijuana-cuffsPlymouth Officers made a couple of arrests for marijuana this past weekend.

Saturday afternoon about 2, Plymouth Police Officer Steve DeLee stopped 50 year old Bruce L. Bowen of Culver for littering on North Oak Drive.  During the investigation it was discovered that Mr. Bowen was in possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana and has a prior charge.  He was booked into the County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond.

Sunday morning at 12:43 Officer Ryan Richey was dispatched to the Burger King parking lot on North Michigan Street for a truck with two subjects who were suspected of smoking marijuana.  After an investigation 18 year old Ridge M. Zimmerman of Plymouth was arrested for possession of marijuana, glue sniffing, and public intox and held on a $500 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
