The Bremen Police Department will sponsor their 20th Annual Benefit Basketball Game on March 23, at 7:30 pm. The game will be held at the Bremen Senior High School boy’s gym and features the Bremen Police Officer and other local agencies challenging the Bremen High School boys and girls senior players.

For the past 19 years the financial contributions made to the benefit game have helped many families deal with their life altering circumstances. This year the Bremen Police Department needs your support to make a difference in two Bremen families’ lives.

On August 14, 2015 while Christina Geist, a Junior at Bremen High School, was traveling home from school she involved in a life altering car accident. Her numerous injuries include a traumatic brain injury. Her recovery includes going to therapy several times a day. She has been given a two year prognosis for recovery. Your support would help her family meet the needs of the day-to-day expenses of traveling to doctor visits and the financial stresses involved in her recovery process.

The second benefactor is the Robin Bennitt-Griswold Family. Two years ago Robin was diagnosed with Wegener’s Vasculitis which is a lifelong, rare auto-immune disease. This disease has caused stage-four kidney disease. Proceeds collected would help alleviate the financial stresses facing the family.

Any donation is appreciated and for a minimum donation of $150 you and/or your company will be featured on the back of the t-shirts that will be worn by the players and given to every person who makes a donation at the game.

The Bremen Police Department is also collecting items for a silent auction. If you would like to donate an item please drop the item off at the Police Department.

Checks should be made payable to the Bremen Police Department. In order for your company name to be printed on the t-shirts, your monetary sponsorships must be received by February 15, 2016.
