Highlights:  The JV Pilgrims lost to Bremen Tuesday night in a rainy and wet game.  The game stayed tight throughout the first 4 innings with the Lady Pilgrims leading 2-1.  Scoring 2 more in the 5th the Pilgrims began to pull away.  However, some strong hits and well placed base runners, the Bremen teamed pulled ahead, scoring 7 runs, in the 6th inning. Ending the game at 4-8.  Kaitlin Jones led the Pilgrim’s offense, earning three hits, 2 steals, and an RBI.  Sydnee Smith had an amazing pop fly catch in center field which was a pivotal play on the Pilgrim’s defense.   Grace Allmon started at the mound for the Pilgrims and pitched an excellent game with 1 strikeout.  While Josie Koontz  stepped for 2 innings with 3 strikeouts. The loss brings the JV Pilgrim’s record to 9-12 on the year.  Their next game is Wednesday, May 18th, at home versus Knox. The game starts at5:30pm.
