Dancing With the Stars_logoBrenda Uceny, a lifelong resident of Plymouth and mother of three including 2012 Olympian Morgan Uceny is Dancing With The Stars for the Neighborhood Center.

Married to Martin Uceny, a retired bricklayer Brenda lives a very active life and enjoys biking, walking, kayaking, crochet, exercise and dancing! Uceny has served as the Transportation Director for the Plymouth Community Schools for the past two year and before that she was a Special Ed bus driver and Office Manager in the bus garage for 20 years.  For the past 7 years she has also been an aquatics instructor at Fitness Forum part time.

DancingWithTheStars2016_BrendaUcenyBrenda Uceny plans to retire this June from the school in hopes to be able to enjoy the Olympic Trials in Eugebe, Oregon and the 2016 Olympics in Rio in August.

Brenda Uceny will be dancing with Mike Anderson, her chorographer.

DancingWithTheStars2016_MikeAndersonAnderson was born in Idaho and grew up in Reseda, California.  He designed homes for 34 years.  After moving to Indiana Mike found a love for ballroom dancing and has been dancing for 23 years and teaching ballroom for 13 years. He just recently finished a dance studio in his home and is now offers private lessons.

Living in Elkhart Mike Anderson teaches every Friday night at the Elk’s Country Club in South Bend.

Dancing With the Stars is the major fundraiser for the Marshall County Neighborhood Center.  Tickets to the event are $75 and on sale now.  Reservations need to be received by Monday, February 1st.  You purchase tickets at the Neighborhood Center on West LaPorte Street or the LifePlex on Miller Drive in Plymouth or on line at http://www.events.org/neighborhoodcenter.

Can’t get to the event?  You can still support the neighborhood Center by voting for your favorite dancers.  Votes are $20 each or 8 votes for $100 or 20 votes for $200.
