The first state rankings have not come out just yet, but it is safe to say that both Ft Wayne Carroll and Ft Wayne Leo will be in the top 20 if not in the top 10. The Pilgrims got a taste of what it takes to play with the top of the state talent. The Pilgrims lost to Carroll 5-0 in morning match and Leo 4-1 in the afternoon match. The only win on the day came for the one doubles team of Nick Felke and Grant Clady.
The road for the Pilgrims doesn’t get much easier this week. Their next match will be at Peru on Tuesday August 23, followed by state ranked Kokomo on Wednesday and state ranked St. Joe on Thursday.
