DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla College basketball team won on the road against Kellogg Community College, 66-62. This advances the Charger’s record to 13-4 overall, 3-1 in the Michigan Community College athletic Association (MCCAA) conference and makes it a three game winning streak for the Chargers.

Don’Tayon Young, from Gary, IN, led the scoring for the Chargers with 10 points and nine rebounds. Frehsman Dylan Phair, sophomore Everett Norman and sophomore Andrenos Powell each added nine points for Ancilla and Andrew Jones, a Jeffersonville native, put up eight points.

“Kellogg did a great job of attacking us early. We didn’t have the edge that we need to compete for most of the night and found ourselves down 60-48 with five minutes left. To our guy’s credit, we made plays down the stretch to get the win. We will need a much more inspired effort Saturday and hope to get the community out as we look to move to 14-4 on the year,” remarked Aaron Butcher, Ancilla’s Head Basketball coach.

The Chargers, who are currently ranked #3 in the MCCAA Conference will play at home on Saturday against conference rivals Glen Oaks Community College who are currently #6 in the conference. Game time starts at 3:00p.m.
