Fulton County sheriff logoRochester, Indiana-  On Saturday, September 2, at approximately 5:20 P.M. emergency personal were dispatched to Old 31 and County Road 300 South in Fulton County to a report of a vehicular accident involving a small child.  Upon arrival to the scene, first responders administered first aid to the small child that was struck.

 

The child was identified as 8 year old Tegan Moyer of Rochester.  Tegan was stabilized at the scene, transported to the Fulton County Airport by Lutheran EMS, where he was then transported to a Ft. Wayne hospital by Med Flight.  Tegan was listed in stable condition as of late in the evening on September 2.

 

Investigation into the crash revealed that a vehicle driven by Kit Eber of Twelve Mile, In. was traveling south on Old 31.  Tegan ran directly into the path of the vehicle.  Ms. Eber was unable to avoid a collision with Tegan.  Ms. Eber was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured as a result of the accident.  Speed nor drugs or alcohol appear to be a contributing factor into the crash.

Assisting the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department at the scene were Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, and Fulton County 911.
