Plymouth_Logo_2014The newly organized Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meet Monday evening with members Michael Delp, Shawn Grobe, Jeff Houin, Shiloh Fonseca ad Mayor Mark Senter.  The other council member: Duane Culp, Don Ecker and Gary Cook only serve on the Common Council.   

The Board of Public Works first order of business was to ratify the bid award for fuel prices.  Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt went with the fixed price from North Central Co-op with diesel at $1.719 and gasoline at $1.731.  He noted the 2015 pricing was $2.30 for diesel and $1.90 for gasoline.   Marquardt also recommended accepting bids from both the Stockberger Group and IMI for the 2016 street materials. 

The city’s Utility Superintendent, Donnie Davidson asked the board to release $16,107.40 in retainage to Haskins Underground for their work on the completed water main extension project from Oak Hill Avenue to West LaPorte Street.    

The wastewater Guaranteed Savings Project is moving forward and three members; Superintendent Davidson, Mike Delp and Don Ecker will be the committee to review and Requests for Qualifications for companies interested in working with the city.
