Plymouth Color Logo2014Last week, Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt presented the 2016 Sidewalk Plan for Board of Public Works and Safety Approval.

IN 2011 the city implemented the ADA Transition Plan developed by MACOG.  The plan prioritizes the sidewalks and intersections and rates them by location and usage.

The 2016 budget has $30,000 and the plan presented has estimated material costs of just over $33,000.

There are 7 specific projects:

West Garro Street and 3rd Street.  This involves 600, 612, 613, 616, 617, 619,700,701, 705, 709, and 710 on Garro Street and 103 North Third Street and has an estimated cost of $35,045.50.

North Center and West Jefferson.  This project is the north east corner at the County Building and has an estimated cost of $5,316.75

North Plum Street and West Washington Street.  This project involves 209, 222, and 223 on Plum Street and 313 Washington Street and 402 West Garro Street and has an estimated cost of $7,222.75.

North Walnut Street and West Garro Street.  This project involves 201, 205, 207 and 209 on North Walnut and has an estimated cost of $7,762.00.

East Jefferson Street and Indiana Street.  This project involves 414, 440, 508, 520 and 550 East Jefferson Street and has an estimated cost of $9,442.

South Michigan Street and Pierce Street.  This project involves 314, 322, 326 and 328 South Michigan Street and has an estimated cost of $4,916.25.

South Michigan Street and Green Street.  This project involves 810, 900, 906,914, 920 and 928 South Michigan Street and has an estimated cost of $12,349.50.

Superintendent estimated $2,000 for sand to place under the sidewalks, $33,934.75 for material costs and $50,120 for labor costs.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety unanimously approved the 2016 sidewalk plan.
