Ledyard-water-treatmentThe City of Plymouth Water Department will be providing an open house for the public of the Ledyard Water Treatment Plant.  The open house will be this Saturday, October 22nd from 10 a.m. till noon.   Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson said, “We will be displaying the newly renovated facility.”

The $3 million project has been completed and is facility is in full operation. The project consisted of the replacement of 4 pressure filters, 4 high service pumps, various pipe and valve replacements, chemical feed facilities, electrical feed system including auxiliary generator, equipment storage building, asphalt drives and parking area, renovations to both detention tanks, additional office space, employee break-room and dressing room.

The improvements allow the City to produce finish water to city customers at a rate of 2,000 gallons per minute, which is equivalent to the Pine Road Water Treatment Plant. The City of Plymouth also has 2 – 1,000,000 gallon elevated storage towers.
