Plymouth Color Logo2014Last week the Board of Public Works and Safety opened Requests for Qualifications from four contractors interested in completing a major Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project that should begin in June.

The City recently made the decision to use a Guaranteed Savings Contract on this project allowing them not to accept the lowest bid but the company with the best qualification for the project.

Qualifications were received from Kokosing Industries from Fredericktown Ohio, F.A. Wilhem Construction from Indianapolis,    Thieneman Construction from Merrillville and Indy, and Bowen Engineering from Indianapolis.

A three member committee including Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson, Board of Works member Mike Delp and Common Council member Don Ecker will review the qualifications and score them individually.  Davidson said the committee will recommend one or two companies during the city meeting on Monday, February 8th.
