A 22 year old Plymouth man is in the Marshall County Jail for Auto Theft and other charges after police say he stole a vehicle and then crashed it.
Just after 5 a.m. Marshall County Police were dispatched to a one vehicle accident in the 13,000 block of Michigan Road. Police located Steven Cogswell behind the wheel of the vehicle. He was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth where he was treated and cleared by medical staff to be lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
Later Sunday morning, the owner of the vehicle contacted Plymouth Police and reported that her vehicle had been taken from the Jackson Heights area by Cogswell without her consent.
Steven Cogswell was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Auto Theft and Operating While Intoxicated.
